As an advertising manager for a weddings and lifestyle magazine I had the opportunity to work in a wonderfully dynamic and artistic industry. Designing campaigns for small and large companies through to page production and front cover sourcing – I was in a world of paper creativity where originality was paramount. When I married in 2003, due to my passion for making paper “come alive” I relished the prospect of designing our wedding stationery. As a perfectionist it was a true “labour of love” as they say but we had so many lovely comments it certainly made it worth while.
Our beautiful daughter Chloe came along in 2004 and as most new mums will tell you it is a rewarding but tiring time – I was on leave and so used to working I found I needed something to keep my brain alive, so during my “me time” I began designing greeting cards. At first for family and friends, then I sold my designs to local shops until I was approached by an art shop owner who asked if I had considered making wedding stationery…. the rest so they say is history.
I gave up my advertising career and set up No9 Designs to create stationery for people like you who are looking for that unique, handcrafted look, knowing that every attention to detail will be paid as if I were creating it for my own wedding. I have been designing luxury wedding stationery for 9 years now and have a wonderful little studio that I call “my hideaway”. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have the job I do.
My vision remains to create “simply stunning stationery”
I hope you enjoy my designs!
